PAY ATTENTION FAMILY

I really thought the world of dating had changed at least among the Black liberators. I had it in my head that by now brothers had become more respectful and less dishonest. Like if they are married they would tell you and would successfully find women on the side. My aunt who is 63 has had the same boyfriend for over 15 years and yes he was married and very open about it from jump. SO I find now that things are different but not as I had assumed.
Apparently lieing still has great appeal. I found out that the man I was "seeing" was married through a casual conversation with a man I had just met. Apparently "everyone" except for me knew. And some people assumed I did know but didnt care. I had asked repeatedly the same questions I pose to most Black men, are you married? do you have children? are you gay? when was your last HIV test?
I am soo open and nonjudgemental that I dont see why he wasnt able to tell me for over 2 months. I knew something was up anyway and choose to see his mysterious life as evidence of the next Huey P Newton. LOL
Well I was embarrassed to say the least at first, but I have one of the best game faces around! I know that I am tooo beautiful inside and out to let this bring my esteem down. So despite my disappointment I laughed at him along with the brother who told me about him. In the end the joke is on him not me!
Whats NOT FUNNY is he had the audacity to deny having a child also. WHY??
ATTENTION: this is used as evidence to prove we have no family values! And look at how easily even our strongest minds fall victim to being exactly who the oppressor wants us to be!

PLEASE HELP SAVE BLACK LOVE AND BLACK FAMILY LIFE. Lets start with some basic honesty and respect.
So much more can be said on this, the need to heal our families and how loving affects liberation as a whole, so I thank you homeboy for inspiring a revolutionary writer. Hope you can be inspired to check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Lets not spark battles amongst ourselves or inside ourselves.
P.S. I will always love Black Men, and can do so without disrespecting mySelf!
